This is the only painting/sculpture I've done that has no color on it. It felt strangely complete being so simple, so I left it as is and didn't add any other layers to it. Sometimes the most striking, most powerful things are simple. Sometimes, by keeping things simple- we actually are exploring more. Exploration is not about distance necessarily, I would argue it is about depth- and depth can be found wherever you look. Exploring my own depth in simplicity gave me a new understanding to myself. I realized even I was like a blank canvas, ready to be seen as a work of art. It is not about the distance into the future, but about your depth right now in your presence.
May this painting bring it's owner a sense of self understanding, self acceptance, and calmer waters.
