What does Priestess mean to you? Someone with power? Someone with gifts? The chosen one? Being a Priestess, in my experience, is upholding order, walking in your power, and being given skills and/or talents that others may not want to step into. In the New Age Spiritualist world we live in (in the west), Priestess is often mistaken in ego for something it is not. Priestesses hold more responsibilities than others may come to understand. It is a calling and a choice to step into the responsibility of what this title really means.

This painting is a reminder, and a discovery, to all who choose to step into more power, more responsibility- a reminder that the choice is yours, and yours alone to hold your power and use it wisely. Even when Spirit calls, your free will may move how it wishes. To answer the call is to build a relationship. With who? Whoever put the calling in you. Spirit. Mother. The ancestors. Know that when you answer this call, you will be called on to fall just to rise again. Over and over, in healing and awareness.
